
Renate has experience in all areas of law, but has honed her skills in general litigation, with special emphasis on family law and commercial litigation, often involving aspects that are bolstered by her experience in property law and notarial practice. She is also a skilled drafter of commercial agreements, trusts and wills.
Holding dual nationality, being both German and South African, she finds her speciality in the area of International Law, particularly in the sphere of German-speaking clients, often in cooperation with our associate firm, Dr Koch Dorobek & Kollegen.
Renate is a member of the board of the German-South African Lawyers Association.
She has since 2014 presided from time to time as an Acting Judge on the bench of the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa. Renate holds Rights of Appearance in the High Court.
She is an accomplished linguist, being fluent in German, English and Afrikaans.
